Japanese Trapdoor Snail

These are some great little Japanese Trapdoor Snails (Sinotaia quadrata) that were locally bred here in Houston. Great scavengers that can also eat algae. These are the green variant where their shells will have a nice olive green hue to them. Tough little guys that can handle pretty much anything and eat anything. They are capable of preproducing but not to the point of being able to take over tanks like how some pest snails can.

These can grow up to a maximum size of abut 2 inches (most will average a bit under that) with growth slowing down around the 1 inch mark. The ones you will be purchasing are about 0.75 to 1 inch long. There are some smaller ones in the photos but those are just there to be cute :)
