These are locally bred Orange Medaka Ricefish!!! A beautiful variation of the Japanese Ricefish (Oryzias latipes). These wonderful little fish are very adaptable, schooling fish that mostly inhabit the middle and top portions of the water column and are tolerant of a wide array of temperatures (mid 60's to high 70's F). Their behavior is a bit different from most schooling fish as they seem to interact with one another a bit more than the usual just-following-eachother sort of swimming that most other schooling fish do. They do best in groups of 6+.
This particular Ricefish has orange markings normally around the head with light blue eyes! Perfect for nano tanks, community tanks, and planted tanks!
These grow to a maximum size of about 1.5 inches, the one's we have that you would be receiving are 0.75 to 1 inch.
